Matching Gifts Program

Make your gift go even further with your employer’s matching gift program. Below is a list of businesses that match charitable donations. Please contact your Human Resources department to find out if your company participates in a matching gift program. The following companies have known matching gift programs:

Allstate (https://easymatch.com/allstateegcgive/ or call 877-301-6242) - Through Allstate’s Good Hands program, Allstate matches donations made to higher education institutions at a 1:1 rate. Through Allstate’s The Giving Campaign, Allstate provides a 15% bonus on donations made to nearly all 501(c)(3) organizations

AT&T (http://att.yourcause.com/attmatching.aspx or 866-678-2287) – AT&T encourages their employees to submit their matching gifts forms promptly, AT&T matches donations for up to twelve months after the date of the donation. AT&T will match up to $15,000.
Bank of America (https://cybergrants.com/boa/matchinggifts or call 800-218-9946) - Bank of America matches individual team members’ financial contributions to eligible charitable donations dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000 per person, per calendar year. Employee must submit matching gift request by March 31 after the year in which the donation was given.

Coca-Cola (http://coca-colaambassador.com/us-en/faq/what-is-the-coca-cola-company-employee-matching-gifts-program or call 855-656-7383) - Coke provides a 2:1 match so if you donate $100, Coke will write a check to the organization for $200 (max $20,000 Coke contribution per employee or retiree each year). Matching gift requests must be completed and returned to Coke by February 28th of the calendar year following the year in which the gift is made.

Gap includes Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Piperline and Athleta (http://www.bewhatspossible.com/Home/MatchingPrograms.aspx or call 888-GAP-GIVE) - Maximum matching gift amounts vary by position ($1,000 for part time employees to as much as $10,000 for Senior VPs). Full guidelines are available at http://www.bewhatspossible.com/Home/MatchingPrograms.aspx. Gap employees must register their match requests within 120 days of the date of the donation. Gap spaces out its overall corporate match limit in order to match donations throughout the year. If the program is closed, make sure to set a calendar reminder for next month to submit the match request.

Matching gifts must be registered by the donor by April 15th of the year following the donation date.

If an employee / retiree volunteers for more than 50 hours in a year with an organization, Pepsi provides a 2:1 matching gift ratio (Pepsi triples these donations). Individuals must submit matching gift requests to Pepsi within six months of the donation date. Pepsi matches up to $10,000.
Pfizer (http://www.pfizerplus.com/gi/give_back.aspx or call 888-782-3048) – Pfizer will match up to $15,000 for donations made by employees to most nonprofits. Employees must submit and the nonprofit must verify the donation by March 1st for contributions made during the prior calendar year.

Sprint employees may request matching gifts for donations made at any point in the last twelve months.

TIAA-CREF (https://www.easymatch.com/tiaa-cref/ or 866-352-1098) - In order for a donation to be matched, employees’ contributions to these charities must be made through the TIAA-CREF Employee Giving Campaign website at https://www.easymatch.com/tiaa-cref/ during the annual giving campaign.

Verizon (http://www.verizonfoundation.org/employee-retiree/log-in or call 866-247-2687) - Individual Matching Grants: Verizon matches individual employee donations up to $5,000 to schools or $1,000 to nearly any other nonprofit. Team Champions Program: When teams of 10 or more Verizon employees collectively raise funds for a nonprofit or school, Verizon will match the funds raised up to $10,000 per team and event. Employees have until end of January in the year following when the donation was made to submit a matching gift request.
Wells Fargo (http://www.mywfgiving.com or call 888-18-4438) - Wells Fargo matches individual team members’ financial contributions to eligible schools and educational foundations dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000 per person, per calendar year. The company matches donations made at any point in the last six months.
